We ate this dish will go down very well for the whole family. Once there was a celebration after church. We made this recipe for around 65 people and we placed the Lentil Curry with rice and naan bread on a table to make a buffet where people could help themselves. It was simple to make and most people thought it was a treat.

 

Preparation

 

1. Fry the chopped onions and garlic in a pan, then add the chopped tomatoes.

2. Stir the lentils and chickpeas into the mixture and add the garlic and coriander. 

3. Add the stock and the tumeric powder, chilli powder and curry powder.

4. Simmer for 30 minutes until the lentils are soft.

 

This dish goes very well with Rice and with Naan Bread.

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients (serves 4):

 

* 175 gr red lentils

* 2 tomatoes (cut)

* handful of chickpeas

* 1 chopped Onion

* 1 glove of Garlic, chrushed

* 1 tbsp turmeric powder

* 1 tbsp curry powder

* pinch of chilli powder

* pinch of fresh corriander

* 0.5 litre stock (vegetable for vegatarian)
